Happy Birthday To My Sweetheart!
Brian turned 27 on October 5th! I am so blessed to have him as my eternal sweetheart! He works so hard for our family. He is going to school full time, working, works with the Young Men in our ward, not to mention spending time with his kids and his wife! He is a busy guy, but he is our guy and we love him and appreciate his sacrifices and love in behalf of our family! We went on a date to celebrate his birthday and then on his birthday my mom made him a custom dinner (ribs...mmmmmmm) and this is his birthday celebration song, and I just love Cloey's response when asked whose birthday it is!

My 1 hour Conference Project!
So I decided to make a scarf the last hour of General Conference on Sunday. I love to crochet and make new thing for my family! I am hoping to learn how to knit, I like the finished look that knitting has. However I don't think that this scarf turned out too shabby! I made it for my 11 month old, it crosses over and has a button under the flower to secure it around the neck and hopefully keep her warm with all this cold weather! It was fun and it will be useful!! For more of our family's conference experience see the post below!
Conference Fun!
General Conference was wonderful! The messages were beautiful and uplifting, but most of all inspiring! I don't think anyone could have watched and not have been changed for the better. The messages and admonitions make me want to be a better person. I am so grateful for the gospel in my life, and in the life of my family. Our extended family on both sides have experience and are still facing hard trials. As I watched conference and heard the messages from those whom have been appointed to be the mouthpiece of the Lord to those who give heed, I can't help but feel gratitude for the eternal knowledge we have. The troubles and trials in life will be but a moment, the Savior has overcome all so we would have a mediator, a place to put our burdens. For He has gone through what we have and much more, and His love and understanding is more than we can know. I cannot express enough my love and again my gratitude for the plan of salvation and the joy we can have
if we but endure. Here are some fun pictures from our conference experience!
All "4" of my children in Autumn's play pen watching conference! She was lonely so daddy joined her, and her sisters followed! Autumn thought it was really funny!

BSU Hair Dos!
So for the BSU-OSU game I did the girls' hair all festive in blue and orange ribbons and tried some hair dos from a website that has a lot of instructional hair ideas for girls! It was a lot of fun, the pictures don't do the dos justice the girls kept moving around. But they looked pretty cute! Lily's hair is a lot easier to do, she has so much to work with. It is hard to do a lot of fun things with Cloey's because it is so thin and so short, but it is starting to get thicker and longer now! We had a lot of fun at my moms with our family cheering on our Broncos! BSU totally one! Wahoo!

Time for presents!
She really was having fun, I promise!
Proof that the chocolate ice cream cones liked their shirts more!
Lily posing!
Lily didn't want to have anything to do with the jeep, Cloey on the other hand was so ready to drive!
We hit Sonic for some half off slushies! I was getting Autumn out and bringing her to the door and here are my cuties hanging out at the door!
Yay for presents!
Our Cloey girl turned 3, I can't believe she is already 3! On her birthday (the 19th of August) Brian had to work so I took the girls to the zoo, where I proceed to get them out of the car and lock doors, well I locked my keys, purse, and diaper bag in the car! So to pass the time until Brian came we got some chocolate ice cream cones which mostly ended up on their shirts. We finally got the zoo and had a fun time. Later that night we went to IHOP for her birthday dinner. Saturday the 22nd we had a birthday party at a park with a water play area and we all had so much fun! Cloey is such a wonderful little girl and we love her so very much. She is sweet and caring and just makes us laugh with her whit and conversation!
Our Autumn is 9 months!
Our Autumn is 9 months, well technically 9 1/2 months now... but anyway, we love our little Autumn so much, she brings so much joy to our family! She is crawling and jabbering. She loves to test her voice, and she especially loves to play and laugh with her big sisters. So here are some fun pictures of Autumn!
Autumn saying hello to her cousin Lola!
She has such a sweet smile!
Bright Eyes!
We love our Autumn so much!
Congratulations to my Best Friend!
Melanie and I have been friends for about 13 years now and I love her so much! We have some great memories! She got married the 1st day of August, and Brian and I were so happy to be able to attend their temple sealing and their reception that night! Everything was wonderful and Jeff and Melanie were just glowing! Good luck to Jeff and Melanie! You both have a wonderful life ahead of you!

Testimony...
So Lily really has not been feeling very well at all. She has had a fever on and off for the past 2 days. Today I think that she has peaked and hopefully her cold will go away, but she said something sweet today. Tonight she was feeling particularly miserable and kept asking me to hold her. While I was holding her our conversation went something like this:
Lily: "Mom, in primary we talked about boys giving blessings to people who are sick."
Mom:"Yes we did, daddy can give you a blessing if you want. Do you want to ask daddy to give you a priesthood blessing?"
Lily: "Yes I do."
Even though it was a short conversation, I was overwhelmed that she had thought about this and that she had remembered what she has been taught. Especially that her faith and testimony are growing about the gospel and especially our Savior, Jesus Christ. Her faith is so simple and pure yet so powerful, I felt the spirit very strongly. Brian was surprised too that she had brought it up too. Brian was on his way out the door after the blessing to fix my Aunt and Uncle's garage door when Cloey climbed up on the seat and wanted a blessing too. So we told her if she got sick than she could have a blessing. But Brian and I had talked last night about starting a tradition of him giving the kids birthday blessings since they don't go to school yet and we always got our blessings before school. But what great experience tonight was to witness testimony growing. I am so grateful for my children and the sweetness and love they bring to our home. And I am especially grateful for the gospel, it is the rock and center of our lives in this chaotic world. I am grateful to my Heavenly Father and my Savior for blessing our home with our three beautiful princesses. I know that Lily will get better and she will remember that she got better because her daddy is a holder of our Father in Heaven's powerful priesthood and her faith and knowledge of His love for her will grow, so that she knows she is special and that He is very aware of her.

Mac is Back!
So we had our Mac fixed and I finally got around to loading all those pictures I wanted to post so here is our whirlwind posting extravaganza!
Lights, Camera, Action!
My cousin and ex-roomie called me up last week and invited me and the girls to Edwards Theater's free movie that they do every week. This week was The Tale of Despereaux. Megan, another college roomie (we actually shared a room, and had tons of fun!!!) came too! The kids had so much fun, there were parts that they were a bit scared of but over all it was fun, and it was my kids' first movie experience at a theater. It was nice to have the theater full of kids and noise, so you didn't feel self conscious about your kids if they were noisy too! After the movie we went to Becca's for lunch and to let the kids run around, and our 4th college roomie met us there. It has been such a long time since all 4 of us have hung out, we had a great time! Here are some pictures I took at the movies!

Autumn did such a good job, she actually slept for most of the movie! Luckily they didn't have the movie very loud!
Splish Splash...
So we have had our pool for 3 years now, and didn't get around to setting up at our house last year, but this year we pulled it out. It is 12 feet by about 36 inches deep. We have had a lot of fun already, and it has only been set up for about a week now. What is so great is that the girls can touch the bottom this year, Lily can easily touch and is very confident walking around and playing, but Cloey is more timid about the whole thing. The water comes up higher on her so she doesn't always like to be without her floating hippo! Lily also likes her floaties too. I have started to teaching the girls swimming lessons too, it is so fun to be able to help them learn something that Brian and I love! Brian also, being the amazingly smart guy he is, tied a rope to a tree behind the pool and attached a belt to the rope, so he and I can swim, it works really great, I think it is my favorite way to work out! Here are some picture from the other day of the family swimming. This was Autumn's first time in, and she wasn't quite sure about the whole thing!
When We're Helping We're Happy...
So I was at the store the other day and gave the girls the choice between getting some squash or some corn on the cob, because they were roughly the same price. Anyway, they both went for the corn. Later that night I started shucking the corn to cook it and Lily asked if she could help, so she started and then Cloey saw what we were doing and came and helped too! They had a lot of fun, so here are my girlies shucking corn! (They just got done swimming so that is why they look a little tired)

Summer Bike Ride!
We went bike riding with Brian's parents a few weeks ago and here are some pictures of the girls in their little bike trailers and in their cute little helmets. I think Autumn was a little confused with the helmet on but who can put a price on child safety...and it is super cute! We had fun biking the greenbelt and enjoying the river!
What a Good Daddy!

Sad Story...
So our fabulous mac stopped working a couple of days ago, and that is the computer I use all the time, it has our pictures on it and everything. So while we are waiting to get it fixed I have to use Brian's laptop. I now know that I for sure prefer mac over pc. Anyway, I tried hooking my camera up to this computer but it won't download the pictures, so until I figure that out I thought I would give a little update. By the way, my mac not working is my sad story. We have been busy, working and spending time as a family. We had a lot of fun on Monday going bike riding with Brian's parents, the girls loved it, and it was super cute to see Autumn in a helmet. She wasn't too fond of it at first but once we started moving she was happy. We also had the misfortune of teaching Lily a not so nice word...stupid. I don't like the word, but sometimes when Brian and I are driving, there are some drivers we just don't understand. I cut everyone some slack until we pass a speed limit sign, then I figure they should probably know the speed limit. I mean really if you want to drive 25 in a 45 or 55 speed limit zone you should probably find an alternate route, it is just dangerous not to obey the speed limit not only for that vehicle but for other vehicles following the law. Well, there was a one such occurrence lately where I think we got cut off by the slowest driver imaginable, and we may have said "that was stupid". So the girls were in quiet time playing, and Lily wanted to be done. The only way I let them out of quiet time is if they clean up their room. Well usually Lily and Cloey are fine with that and they clean up all their toys, fold their blankets...this time Lily didn't feel like it and she said "Quiet time is stupid". I about died, my first reaction was, where did she learn that word, then oh man it was her parents, then well it was kind of funny...then I had to tell her that we shouldn't use that word. She then promptly changed her sentence to "I don't like quiet time." I called Brian and let him know what she had said, and we both agreed that we should be more careful. Not that stupid is a very bad word, it just sound terrible coming from a 4 year old's mouth. Well I will try to post some pictures sometime soon, and hopefully my mac gets better soon!

Cloey's First Haircut!
So my sweet Cloey...what can I say...Well she is prone to hitting her head and getting nice bruises(see previous post). She will be walking and turn to look at something and before she knows it she turns to look forward again and she has run into something, or she is running and trips into another something. Nevertheless, it seems she always has a bruise on her noggin', and I was tired of worrying that people might think that she doesn't have very loving parents. So I gave he bangs before we went to church yesterday, and I think she looks soo adorable! It is the first time she has had her hair cut, since there isn't much there yet. So here is our sweet little clumsy girl with bangs! (I just looked at the pictures again, and they look better in person)
