Autumn did such a good job, she actually slept for most of the movie! Luckily they didn't have the movie very loud!

Lights, Camera, Action!
My cousin and ex-roomie called me up last week and invited me and the girls to Edwards Theater's free movie that they do every week. This week was The Tale of Despereaux. Megan, another college roomie (we actually shared a room, and had tons of fun!!!) came too! The kids had so much fun, there were parts that they were a bit scared of but over all it was fun, and it was my kids' first movie experience at a theater. It was nice to have the theater full of kids and noise, so you didn't feel self conscious about your kids if they were noisy too! After the movie we went to Becca's for lunch and to let the kids run around, and our 4th college roomie met us there. It has been such a long time since all 4 of us have hung out, we had a great time! Here are some pictures I took at the movies!

Splish Splash...
So we have had our pool for 3 years now, and didn't get around to setting up at our house last year, but this year we pulled it out. It is 12 feet by about 36 inches deep. We have had a lot of fun already, and it has only been set up for about a week now. What is so great is that the girls can touch the bottom this year, Lily can easily touch and is very confident walking around and playing, but Cloey is more timid about the whole thing. The water comes up higher on her so she doesn't always like to be without her floating hippo! Lily also likes her floaties too. I have started to teaching the girls swimming lessons too, it is so fun to be able to help them learn something that Brian and I love! Brian also, being the amazingly smart guy he is, tied a rope to a tree behind the pool and attached a belt to the rope, so he and I can swim, it works really great, I think it is my favorite way to work out! Here are some picture from the other day of the family swimming. This was Autumn's first time in, and she wasn't quite sure about the whole thing!
When We're Helping We're Happy...
So I was at the store the other day and gave the girls the choice between getting some squash or some corn on the cob, because they were roughly the same price. Anyway, they both went for the corn. Later that night I started shucking the corn to cook it and Lily asked if she could help, so she started and then Cloey saw what we were doing and came and helped too! They had a lot of fun, so here are my girlies shucking corn! (They just got done swimming so that is why they look a little tired)

Summer Bike Ride!
We went bike riding with Brian's parents a few weeks ago and here are some pictures of the girls in their little bike trailers and in their cute little helmets. I think Autumn was a little confused with the helmet on but who can put a price on child safety...and it is super cute! We had fun biking the greenbelt and enjoying the river!
What a Good Daddy!

Sad Story...
So our fabulous mac stopped working a couple of days ago, and that is the computer I use all the time, it has our pictures on it and everything. So while we are waiting to get it fixed I have to use Brian's laptop. I now know that I for sure prefer mac over pc. Anyway, I tried hooking my camera up to this computer but it won't download the pictures, so until I figure that out I thought I would give a little update. By the way, my mac not working is my sad story. We have been busy, working and spending time as a family. We had a lot of fun on Monday going bike riding with Brian's parents, the girls loved it, and it was super cute to see Autumn in a helmet. She wasn't too fond of it at first but once we started moving she was happy. We also had the misfortune of teaching Lily a not so nice word...stupid. I don't like the word, but sometimes when Brian and I are driving, there are some drivers we just don't understand. I cut everyone some slack until we pass a speed limit sign, then I figure they should probably know the speed limit. I mean really if you want to drive 25 in a 45 or 55 speed limit zone you should probably find an alternate route, it is just dangerous not to obey the speed limit not only for that vehicle but for other vehicles following the law. Well, there was a one such occurrence lately where I think we got cut off by the slowest driver imaginable, and we may have said "that was stupid". So the girls were in quiet time playing, and Lily wanted to be done. The only way I let them out of quiet time is if they clean up their room. Well usually Lily and Cloey are fine with that and they clean up all their toys, fold their blankets...this time Lily didn't feel like it and she said "Quiet time is stupid". I about died, my first reaction was, where did she learn that word, then oh man it was her parents, then well it was kind of funny...then I had to tell her that we shouldn't use that word. She then promptly changed her sentence to "I don't like quiet time." I called Brian and let him know what she had said, and we both agreed that we should be more careful. Not that stupid is a very bad word, it just sound terrible coming from a 4 year old's mouth. Well I will try to post some pictures sometime soon, and hopefully my mac gets better soon!

Cloey's First Haircut!
So my sweet Cloey...what can I say...Well she is prone to hitting her head and getting nice bruises(see previous post). She will be walking and turn to look at something and before she knows it she turns to look forward again and she has run into something, or she is running and trips into another something. Nevertheless, it seems she always has a bruise on her noggin', and I was tired of worrying that people might think that she doesn't have very loving parents. So I gave he bangs before we went to church yesterday, and I think she looks soo adorable! It is the first time she has had her hair cut, since there isn't much there yet. So here is our sweet little clumsy girl with bangs! (I just looked at the pictures again, and they look better in person)

My Pretty Girls!
Yes, I am aware that Cloey has a bruise on both sides of her forehead. I swear people probably think we are abusive parents because of her, she is constantly getting distracted and either falling or running into walls, which I witnessed for one of the bruises, but have no clue where the other one came from!
So...our girls are too smart for their own good. We have latch on their closet door because they like to pull all of their clothes off the hangers and try them on and so on and so forth. Well we store our lettermans jackets, my wedding dress, and my wedding veil in their closet because it has the most room. Saturday the girls were in quiet time(they don't take naps anymore so they play in their room during the afternoon so mom can have a mommy time) and all of a sudden Brian and I here these weird "dunk" noise from their room. Lily and Cloey had pushed their toy box over to the closet, stood on the toy box, and unlatched the closet doors. Needless to say the "dunk" noises were the hangers hitting the wall as all of their clothes got taken down. Well they also found my veil, luckily it was tied in the bag so they couldn't get at it but that night we took some fun pictures of the girls in my veil. They felt like little princesses and kept telling us how pretty they were. And they are soooo cute!

My First Duathlon
So my friend Megan and I did our first duathlon together. Well sort of, I had skinned my knee pretty good the night before at our co-ed indoor soccer game and it hurt to bend it or kneel on it. So you can guess how that felt...then we accidently started biking up the wrong rode...then after getting on the right road(Bogus Basin) my bike just got too heavy(I was using a mountain bike that wasn't made for road races and was stinkin' heavy) so Megan took her 2lb bike and pushed onward while I was force to walk the bike up. But I finished and I am happy to say that I now know what I need to do for the next time! For sure get a better bike and maybe not skin the knee?!

Memorial Day Weekend Camping!
We had so much fun Memorial Day weekend! We enjoyed camping with family and friends. We took our motor home up, we sold the travel trailer and bought the motor home and it was nice to have more space. I have nothing against tent camping, but it is nice to have the motor home for the girls. We had a heater and air conditioning, so I wasn't having to worry if they were ok! Plus it was just nice! We had an eventful time getting up there though. Just past Horseshoe Bend we had one of our tires blow in the back, if you haven't ever had a tire pop on you...it is super loud. I thought someone had shot a gun! Well luckily we have double tires in the back, so we still had one on that side. We pulled over and it took around 2 hours to change tire, finally a Good Samaritan stopped and helped us out, I really am not the best to have around for something like this, I can do what I am told, but not really all that mechanical. We finally got back on the road and then we got pulled over past Donnely for speeding...our speedometer isn't working very good! Luckily the officer was really nice and just gave us a warning. We finally pulled into our camp site around midnight, to the relief of some worried parents! Brian's mom and dad helped us get the girls to bed. So a 2 hour trip turned into around a 5 hour one! Brian went into town and got the whole tire situation taken care of, luckily the prices weren't that different from Boise's. After that though we had a very fun weekend playing at the lake, and just spending time together. Andrea and Abbie were up the last 2 weeks from California, it was so fun to have them there, we did miss having Mike! Sunday everyone went to church at the 9 am time. Our girls were still asleep so we decided to let them sleep and go at 1 that afternoon. To show what a small world we have, who was there but none other than my best friend Melanie Bird and her family! I was sooo happy to see her, it has been too long! Here are some pictures of our weekend, it was a fun time!
It was nice having electricity at the campsite, while their cousins took naps, they got to watch an afternoon movie, or play at the beach with mom and dad.
"look girls it's a bug" And Lily took care of the bug... with her shoe!
All the cousins sitting in a tree...how fun is that?
Autumn is so social, she really loves playing with everyone! She was having fun with Grandma here!
Grandma and Autumn...so cute!

Autumn hanging out at the beach, she got a little burned under the eyes, the only place I missed with the sunblock. I am proud to say that her little head is not burned!
This is the pool that Grandpa mad for the kids.
This is the sunset on Sunday night, it was so gorgeous to watch it on the beach!
My Birthday!
Yikes, so now I am officially old, at least that is how I feel. Now that I have to say that I am 25. I mean when I said I am 24 I still felt pretty young. But now that I am 25 and have no more age related restrictions I am old. ( I am talking about having to be 25 to rent a car, at least that is what I heard.) I had a fun birthday. My sister Melisa and I went to lunch and had some fun shopping and cruising the mall. I am soooo glad to have her as my sister and that we are so close (literally, we are 2 years and 1 day apart, her birthday is the day after mine). We had so much fun. Then Brian and I went out to Tucanos for dinner while my awesome mom watched the kids. Tucanos was so great! We enjoyed the food, and I thought that they had a fantastic salad bar. Brian got me the coolest present, he got me the new ipod shuffle. It is so great it is so small and clips onto you, and you control everything with some buttons that are built in to your headphones. Not to mention it talks to you telling the song you are listening to or letting you choose playlists. Anyway, I really like it, it will be great to use while working out, or on these duathlons/triathlons I am going to be doing! Then we got the girls home and they sang to me, and helped me blow out the candles on my brownies that they made with daddy that day! Very yummy! I had to include an image of the shuffle, because I really think it is so cool! Thanks to my great hubby, I love music and this was a great gift!
