Don't We Look Fabulous!

Jason and Jonny went to Utah last month and they brought back some hats from Great Grandma Keeley for the girls. Lily and Cloey were so excited! They were having fun trying them on and modeling them in their bathroom mirror! They are so cute!

Fun Christmas Conversations With My Girls!

I love my kids, even more fun are the things they come up with. Here are some fun conversations we have had lately.

It was foggy outside this morning and Lily had some thoughts about that.
Lily-Mom what is that outside?
Me-That is fog.
Lily- Yay! Santa is coming mom!
Me-Why do you say that?
Lily-Because, Then one foggy Christmas Eve, santa is coming mom! (thinking of the lyrics in the Rudolf song)
Me- I think you have a few more days until Santa comes.
Lily- Then why is it foggy?

*I think that was one of my favorite ones!

Tonight Brian was at school to take his Calculus final, so it was an all girl dinner!
Me- What should we get daddy for Christmas?
Lily- I want to get him a really scary dinosaur! (you also have to imagine her hands rubbing together fast, something she inherited from her daddy when they get excited, that always makes me smile)
Cloey- I want to get him a love heart! (she was tilting her head down and looking very sweet!)
Me- Those sound like some good presents!
Lily- Hmmm, I want to get you jewelry, daddy can take us to get you some jewelry.
*I was laughing by this point, I don't talk about or wear jewelry very often.
Cloey- Do you want a wrist like Daddy?
Me- What?
Cloey- A wrist like daddy!!! (talking a bit more matter of factly.)
Me- Oh a watch?
Cloey- Yes! Do you want a watch?
Me- That would me fun.
Cloey- But I want to get you a butterfly and a flower.
Me- Oh that would be very nice too!

It went on for a while, I love my girls! They are the best!!! I am looking forward to my flower and butterfly from Cloey, and maybe some jewelry from Lily! They are so funny!

Happy Birthday to Autumn!

Well, it happened. My baby turned 1. It doesn't seem like it has been a year already. She is our little sweetie. She was our first baby to not have to be in the NICU! It was so great to not have to deal with that. She is testing her confidence in walking, she is not so sure about it yet. She will stand by herself but taking steps makes her nervous. She is very ticklish and has the cutest laugh. She loves her sisters! She loves it when they play with her and has so much fun watching them run around and play. We had 2 parties for her since a lot of our family lives in town. Her are some pictures from her birthday week. We love you Autumn!

We gave Autumn her presents from us on her birthday and quickly had cupcakes before Brian had to get to his night class.

She has the cutest looks!
She had fun trying to figure out how to unwrap the presents! She tried to bite one of the presents to unwrap it.

I don't think she got any cake! She stuck to the icing, well I guess I should say it stuck to her!

This was the little party we had with Brian's family. I think the older girls had more fun opening the presents than Autumn did! ;)

Halloween 2009

Trying to get 5 kids 4 and under is difficult! They all had fun! Kaylynn was Princess Belle, and Madison was a cute little Flower!
Our little Autumn Owl!
Fly Away!!!

Cousins! We were at Grandma and Grandpa Keeley's for some yummy treats. Lily is the Little Mermaid, Cloey is Cinderella, and Nuava is a Ballerina/Fairy.
This is my favorite family picture! I have to say, I think I have a pretty fantastic family!

Trip to Utah

The Keeley boys and dad built a ramp for Becky so she can get in and out of the house much easier with her new wheelchair. The picture below is of the crazy strong Jonny lifting the ramp all by his lonesome! Go Jonny!!
Cloey loves Aunt Becky! This is Cloey trying to be like her and wheeled herself over to Becky. she thought she was super cool!
Lily, Cloey, Nauva and Danielle getting some energy out and enjoying playing with each other!

So this year has been pretty rough for especially Brian's side of the family. There has been a lot of loss. The latest was Brian's Grandpa Ballard. We took a trip to Utah to celebrate his life. We know that he is so happy now to be reunited with Grandma Ballard who passed away 6 months previous. We stayed with Grandma and Grandpa Keeley and enjoyed seeing family. We just wish it was under different circumstances.

Happy Birthday To My Sweetheart!

Brian turned 27 on October 5th! I am so blessed to have him as my eternal sweetheart! He works so hard for our family. He is going to school full time, working, works with the Young Men in our ward, not to mention spending time with his kids and his wife! He is a busy guy, but he is our guy and we love him and appreciate his sacrifices and love in behalf of our family! We went on a date to celebrate his birthday and then on his birthday my mom made him a custom dinner (ribs...mmmmmmm) and this is his birthday celebration song, and I just love Cloey's response when asked whose birthday it is!

My 1 hour Conference Project!

So I decided to make a scarf the last hour of General Conference on Sunday. I love to crochet and make new thing for my family! I am hoping to learn how to knit, I like the finished look that knitting has. However I don't think that this scarf turned out too shabby! I made it for my 11 month old, it crosses over and has a button under the flower to secure it around the neck and hopefully keep her warm with all this cold weather! It was fun and it will be useful!! For more of our family's conference experience see the post below!

Conference Fun!

General Conference was wonderful! The messages were beautiful and uplifting, but most of all inspiring! I don't think anyone could have watched and not have been changed for the better. The messages and admonitions make me want to be a better person. I am so grateful for the gospel in my life, and in the life of my family. Our extended family on both sides have experience and are still facing hard trials. As I watched conference and heard the messages from those whom have been appointed to be the mouthpiece of the Lord to those who give heed, I can't help but feel gratitude for the eternal knowledge we have. The troubles and trials in life will be but a moment, the Savior has overcome all so we would have a mediator, a place to put our burdens. For He has gone through what we have and much more, and His love and understanding is more than we can know. I cannot express enough my love and again my gratitude for the plan of salvation and the joy we can have
if we but endure. Here are some fun pictures from our conference experience!

All "4" of my children in Autumn's play pen watching conference! She was lonely so daddy joined her, and her sisters followed! Autumn thought it was really funny!

BSU Hair Dos!

So for the BSU-OSU game I did the girls' hair all festive in blue and orange ribbons and tried some hair dos from a website that has a lot of instructional hair ideas for girls! It was a lot of fun, the pictures don't do the dos justice the girls kept moving around. But they looked pretty cute! Lily's hair is a lot easier to do, she has so much to work with. It is hard to do a lot of fun things with Cloey's because it is so thin and so short, but it is starting to get thicker and longer now! We had a lot of fun at my moms with our family cheering on our Broncos! BSU totally one! Wahoo!

Time for presents!
She really was having fun, I promise!
Proof that the chocolate ice cream cones liked their shirts more!
Lily posing!
Lily didn't want to have anything to do with the jeep, Cloey on the other hand was so ready to drive!
We hit Sonic for some half off slushies! I was getting Autumn out and bringing her to the door and here are my cuties hanging out at the door!
Yay for presents!

Our Cloey girl turned 3, I can't believe she is already 3! On her birthday (the 19th of August) Brian had to work so I took the girls to the zoo, where I proceed to get them out of the car and lock doors, well I locked my keys, purse, and diaper bag in the car! So to pass the time until Brian came we got some chocolate ice cream cones which mostly ended up on their shirts. We finally got the zoo and had a fun time. Later that night we went to IHOP for her birthday dinner. Saturday the 22nd we had a birthday party at a park with a water play area and we all had so much fun! Cloey is such a wonderful little girl and we love her so very much. She is sweet and caring and just makes us laugh with her whit and conversation!

Our Autumn is 9 months!

Our Autumn is 9 months, well technically 9 1/2 months now... but anyway, we love our little Autumn so much, she brings so much joy to our family! She is crawling and jabbering. She loves to test her voice, and she especially loves to play and laugh with her big sisters. So here are some fun pictures of Autumn!

Autumn saying hello to her cousin Lola!
She has such a sweet smile!
Bright Eyes!
We love our Autumn so much!

Congratulations to my Best Friend!

Melanie and I have been friends for about 13 years now and I love her so much! We have some great memories! She got married the 1st day of August, and Brian and I were so happy to be able to attend their temple sealing and their reception that night! Everything was wonderful and Jeff and Melanie were just glowing! Good luck to Jeff and Melanie! You both have a wonderful life ahead of you!

Testimony...

So Lily really has not been feeling very well at all. She has had a fever on and off for the past 2 days. Today I think that she has peaked and hopefully her cold will go away, but she said something sweet today. Tonight she was feeling particularly miserable and kept asking me to hold her. While I was holding her our conversation went something like this:

Lily: "Mom, in primary we talked about boys giving blessings to people who are sick."

Mom:"Yes we did, daddy can give you a blessing if you want. Do you want to ask daddy to give you a priesthood blessing?"

Lily: "Yes I do."

Even though it was a short conversation, I was overwhelmed that she had thought about this and that she had remembered what she has been taught. Especially that her faith and testimony are growing about the gospel and especially our Savior, Jesus Christ. Her faith is so simple and pure yet so powerful, I felt the spirit very strongly. Brian was surprised too that she had brought it up too. Brian was on his way out the door after the blessing to fix my Aunt and Uncle's garage door when Cloey climbed up on the seat and wanted a blessing too. So we told her if she got sick than she could have a blessing. But Brian and I had talked last night about starting a tradition of him giving the kids birthday blessings since they don't go to school yet and we always got our blessings before school. But what great experience tonight was to witness testimony growing. I am so grateful for my children and the sweetness and love they bring to our home. And I am especially grateful for the gospel, it is the rock and center of our lives in this chaotic world. I am grateful to my Heavenly Father and my Savior for blessing our home with our three beautiful princesses. I know that Lily will get better and she will remember that she got better because her daddy is a holder of our Father in Heaven's powerful priesthood and her faith and knowledge of His love for her will grow, so that she knows she is special and that He is very aware of her.
