My Brother is Engaged!!!

So the Friday before Easter my brother invited my mom, Sarah, Melisa's fam, me, and Katie's mom and dad to hide out at the temple so we could prepare and take pictures for when he asked Katie to marry him. We set up the flowers and hid out, only he was 30 minutes longer than he should have been but it was so worth it. We hid out in Melisa's car and saw them walk to the fountain at the temple and he got down on one knee, and all of the girls in the car totally teared up! We are so excited to have Katie in the family and so excited for the new life they are starting together, love you guys!

Cloey's Surgery

So on April 14th Cloey got her tonsils and adenoids out. It was supposed to only be a reduction of the tonsils but after I talked to the doctor I signed a waiver that once he was in there really looking at them he could remove them completely if he needed too. When she went in for her prior appointement to see if she would need the surgery the PA that took a look said and I quote, "Whoa those are huge!" Apparantly her tonsils are 70ish percent bigger than they were supposed to be. So we got everything scheduled for her surgery. We had to be at the hospital at 6:30 am for her surgery time of 8:10. Grandma Keeley had her knee surgery the same day at the same hospital. So they were buddies, hours apart ;). Before her surgery we waited in a room where she got to watch some Dora and be cute in her hospital gown, socks, her bunny and a nice warm blanket. I think she makes a super cute patient! Her surgery was only about 30 minutes. The doctor came out after her surgery to let me know that he went ahead and took it all out, it was blocking a lot of things and they were massive. Everything went well and so I grabbed some breakfast while I waited for her to come out of recovery. When I finally got to see her she was so out of it! She didn't really cry, but she whined a bit and it was hard to get her to eat some ice chips, she started with some applesauce before we could get her to take the chips. She just wanted to sleep more, who could blame her. Melted my heart when the nurse said befoer they wheeled her out where I could see her she was asking for me. I love my Cloey and I would be lying if I said I didn't get nervous or get a bit emotional when the took her into surgery. She had lots of love from family with lots of popcycles, mac and cheese, yogurt, pudding, jello, toys, coloring posters, and markers. She recovered quickly and was back at her normal self within a few days. She sleeps so much better now! She sleeps a lot heavier which makes her happier in the mornings. So grateful we got this done and that she is healthier now.

So sleepy!

She feel asleep a few times eating her applesauce!

She brightend up a lot on the way home, but she does look pretty pitiful with her mouth hanging open!

Autumn told me to take a picture of her too, I love this smily face girl!

Just resting!

Lily's Family Birthday Parties

We did two birthday parties for Lily, one with mine and one with Brian's. I have a TON of loving family who live here in town so we do seperate parties since it is usually still chilly at the beginning of April. We did her party at mom's house, can you guess what kind of a party we had?!?! I made the hanging pom poms and the garland too. It was easy, fun, and turned out beautiful. I did the same for the party at the Keeley's too I just forgot to get as many pictures.

The following pictures are of the girls playing princesses or fairies, they had a lot of fun with the sticks!

The last two are pictures from her party at the Keeley's, I told you, I completely failed to get pictures there! Oops! It was a lot of fun though, they love playing with Nauva and miss playing with Abbie. My favorite is when we sing Happy Birthday, Grandpa Keeley sings a whole myriad of versions after the initial birthday song and we all get a kick out of it. The girls love it and shriek (literally) with delight!

Soooo Sleepy!!!

So this is where we found Autumn after quiet time was over! Lily and Cloey were playing pleasantly and Autumn was no where to be seen, then the girls pointed her out, on top of the doll house that comes up to my chin. It so does not look comfortable, but she was completely out and yes that is some drool too. She has done this a few times, but if I try to put her in her bed for an actual nap time she won't sleep at all. Silly girl!

Lily's 6th Birthday!

I can't believe that Lily is 6! Time has flown by so fast, it really seems like yesterday that I was working at the hospital when my water broke and I walked down to the maternity ward to have this my sweet little Lily! She has always been a good child, she listens well and is very very caring. We love her so much here are some highlights from her birthday.

This is Lily talking to her Aunt Melisa who called to wish her a happy birthday. She was so excited!

Daddy bought Lily some flowers home for her special day she felt very special. Her face lit up when he pulled them out from behind his back.

A poster her class makes for everyone's birthday, they have to come up with three things they like about the birthday child and then they all sign it. So adorable! Lily and Great Grandma Sparks after she treated us to lunch, we rode in Grandma's car and went to Sizzler (a birthday tradition with Grandma Sparks). Lunch was yummy and it was fun to spend time together, we hit the mall after lunch so Lily could buy herself a purse and some Princess Rapunzel jewelry with some of her birthday money Grandma gave her. What a fun afternoon!

Lily getting ready for school, she looks a little dazed, but she was excited! Especially to wear her new birthday shirt from Tangled! She had class pictures that day too, I love doing her hair when she will let me. She loves to just have pony tails!

I made cupcakes for her class, they were very delicious!

I got a silhouette machine (it cuts crafts and fun things) and so I made these boxes for each child's cupcake. All I did was have the silhouette cut it and then I put the cupcake in and sealed them up! I was pretty mom proud with them! :)
